Welcome to YZ Acupuncture and Wellness. We are a quiet healing sanctuary conveniently located in Central Pasadena. We practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (Adult and Children's Acupuncture and Acupressure, Medical Qigong, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Chinese Herbal Medicine). Our philosophy is that your body is a precious temple full of power and knowledge that works best when in sync with the flow of nature. Our staff is comprised of highly educated and talented practitioners who are gentle, compassionate, and highly skilled. Dr. Yu Zhang was the founder of this office, bringing Medical Qigong and Chinese medicine to the West in the 80's. While he has since retired, his healing philosophy remain at our office.

Sarah Adcock- Lehner, L.Ac.
Sarah graduated from Samra University with a Master's in Chinese Medicine in 2009. She has apprenticed with Dr. Yu Zhang since 2008, learning his skills and amazing healing abilities. Her background is in Herbal Medicine and she is well versed in ancient formulas as well as modern supplements. She loves to practice acupuncture, qi gong, and making facial oils. Sarah currently offers Acupuncture and Micro-current Facials, using your body's own Qi and mild electricity to lift and tighten the skin and muscles in the neck and face.
Having seen many difficult cases under the supervision of her mentor, Dr. Zhang, Sarah is capable of healing a wide variety of ailments from pain (shoulder, neck, head and back), depression and anxiety, ADHD, Bell's palsy, allergies, autoimmune and menstruation issues. She can also work with children using magnets and acupressure.
Yume Takeuchi L.Ac.
Yume is a licensed acupuncturist and birth doula. She received her Masters in Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco. In 2010, Yume became a birth doula (a non-medical person who assists a woman before, during, or after childbirth) and began her practice "Acu-Doula: Acupuncture & Birth Services" in Berkeley, CA. She has completed her massage training in shiatsu (Japanese massage). Yume also received training in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture and is passionate about the use of Chinese Medicine to encourage one's body to age gracefully.
Her background as both an acupuncturist and birth worker have given her a keen ability to listen and make others around her feel at ease. With her skills and compassion she hopes to provide clients with care that is therapeutic and transformative.
Adiel Adra, CMT
Adiel is a Manual Therapist and Health Educator with a calming yet intuitive touch. She works with a multitude of hands on treatments and techniques including; Myofacial release, trigger point, acupressure, and Mind-Body Balancing. Adiel customizes cutting edge approaches and movement therapy to facilitate this healing by-- managing and eliminating new and chronic pain, addressing circulation deficiencies, releasing built up stress or anxiety, and assists to create peace, comfort and ease for the body and mind. Her natural ability and these specialized modalities create a space to heal and rejuvenate.
Luz Stehelin, MT
Luz Stehelin was born in Lima Peru. She moved to the USA at the age of 21 and received her certification of massage a the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy. For more than 10 years she has been practicing deep tissue, Swedish and lymphatic drainage massage. She has a very warm and natural touch that allows deep relaxation and healing.
